The index below is devoted to entries from the Notables page, shown as ILLO History in the navigation at left. The idea here is to provide biographical sketches and extremely brief critical assessments of illustrators and other practitioners of interest, primarily for students. It is possible that material of interest may also be found in Graphic Tales, shown as Blog and Blog Index. That blog is more wide-ranging and includes my own studio practice; ILLO History by design is more like a textbook-like compendium, if a selective, idiosoyncratic one.  In May 2016, as this project kicks off, the reader will notice that all of the practitioners are women.
